TRIVIA

Llamas are very clever, yet stubborn animals who know exactly how much they can and can carry on their backs. If you put too heavy a load on a llama, it will stand still and not move an inch until the load is reduced.

Llamas don't bite, but if they feel threatened by a predator, a human, or another llama, they can spit. A female llama can spit at a male llama if she's not interested. Llamas' saliva has an incredibly strong and unpleasant smell, you wouldn't want to experience that.

Llamas are large animals reaching a height exceeding 180 cm. An adult llama weighs from 125 to 230 kg. The body of a llama is covered with thick fur, which can take on various patterns and different colors, such as gray, black, white, and even light brown. Llama fur is a valuable material for humans, from which wool can be made, and then clothes, headgear, and scarves. The resulting wool does not absorb water and is very light. Llamas are also very strong - they can carry 25-30% of their weight. For this reason, they were tamed and used to transport various goods.
