Trivia

Brown bears are fascinating animals that amaze with their size and enormous strength. An encounter with this large predator is an extremely dangerous experience, for which it is certainly better to be prepared.

An upright male brown bear can reach a height of up to 3 meters, and the most powerful individuals can weigh almost 800 kilograms. They are long-lived animals. In the wild, they live an average of 30 years, in captivity they can live up to 50 years.

Brown bears are omnivores. They like to hunt fish (including salmon), rodents and birds. They will not despise caterpillars, earthworms, insects and snails. From plant foods, they choose fruits, nuts, seeds and even grass. Despite their impressive size, they do not hunt larger game. In rare cases of lack of access to other food, they may hunt farm animals.
